Understanding the Need

Guatemala faces significant challenges, with a large population living below the national poverty line. Children and teenagers in Guatemala City are particularly affected, often encountering obstacles that impede their education and overall well-being.

Our research showed that many families struggle to provide basic necessities such as school supplies, uniforms, and shoes. For instance, many children in impoverished areas lack essential school materials, directly impacting their ability to learn. By addressing these fundamental needs, we can help break the cycle of poverty and empower the next generation.

The Vision for the Guatemala Project

The Guatemala Project is a comprehensive initiative designed to create lasting change. Our local coordinators, Oscar Rivera, his wife Heidy, and their daughter Sara, are deeply connected to the community and understand the specific challenges families face. We aim to support 25 children and teenagers aged 6 to 16, along with their families. Our approach includes:
