Our Mission
The Ahuachapán Food Bank is one of Eyes of a Child’s most heartfelt initiatives, created to ensure that no child or family has to face hunger alone. This project will serve as a permanent center of nourishment and care, providing consistent food baskets, essential goods, and guidance to families in need throughout the Ahuachapán region
Why It Matters
In Ahuachapán, El Salvador, many families face food insecurity daily. Parents often go without meals so their children can eat. Markets are far, transportation is limited, and resources are scarce. Our goal is to bring relief directly to these families, turning hunger into nourishment, fear into comfort, and uncertainty into hope.
The Vision
Thanks to the generosity of María Perdomo, who donated a portion of her land, EOAC is preparing to build a permanent Food Bank that will serve the region for years to come.
Once completed, it will become a center of stability, a place where families can receive food baskets, hygiene supplies, and guidance toward a better future.
How It Began
What started as a dream shared during our Hollywood Night Gala on August 23, 2025, became a movement of compassion and action. Thanks to your incredible generosity that evening, we successfully raised $10,000, the full amount needed to begin construction.
Food Bank 3D Renderings 🏗️
Before the first brick was laid, the Ahuachapán Food Bank began as a vision, one that we are proud to bring to life through these 3D renderings, created by Rodrigo Gutiérrez, our Second Vice President. These digital designs showcase what the completed Food Bank will look like: a welcoming space where families can receive food baskets, hygiene supplies, and community support with dignity. Every detail, from the structure to the layout, reflects EOAC’s commitment to care, compassion, and hope.
Construction
Construction of the Ahuachapán Food Bank officially began on September 25, 2025, marking the first day of a long-awaited dream coming to life. Volunteers, community members, and EOAC representatives gathered to witness this powerful moment of unity and compassion. 💙
