About
Since March 2022, Eyes of a Child has supports over 30 children and families in need from the city of Ahuachapán, El Salvador.
How we help
Through donations, EOAC provides food, toys, school supplies, and entertainment. Children are brought together several times a year for gatherings where they receive these resources and enjoy community events.
Where we serve
Located in western El Salvador, Ahuachapán is home to more than 110,000 people. Many families there face poverty, with some surviving on less than $5.50 per day.
Our commitment
Events are hosted at the home of Benjamín and María Perdomo, who organize and coordinate local efforts with the support of our U.S. directors.
Project Director
Born and raised in El Salvador, Benjamín and his mother María Perdomo open their home in Ahuachapán to support children and families in need.
Why it matters
This project began after Lucia Montes, a friend of the community, reached out. With poverty rising and families in Ahuachapán lacking basic resources, EOAC stepped in to bring love, support, and hope.
